On Wednesday, we were absolutely delighted to welcome author Shane Hegarty to our school to talk to the boys and girls in second class. We have been reading the Boot series of books in class over the last few weeks so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to meet Boot’s creator. Shane gave up his time to discuss how he creates characters, comes up with stories for his books and how he enjoys being an author. We even used our imaginations to come up with some ideas on how to make our very own robot. We are hopeful that in the years ahead we might be welcoming back a past student or two to talk about their very own books! How exciting would that be!
