The boys and girls of Lusk Junior National School love to drop everything they are doing and read!
In first class and second class we read so much that the mobile library needs to come to the school every month to keep us stocked with the latest Dogman, Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Isadora Moon books, amongst many others!
There is great excitement when we hear the reversing beeper from the mobile library outside. The classes get an opportunity to board the bus and browse the great selection of books that are available to them.
There is always great chatter and noise as the boys and girls discover that their favourite Mr. Men books are still on the shelves or that they can go on an adventure with Zog or any other of Julia Donaldson’s bright and superbly written and illustrated books.
There is always a book to suit everyone and throughout the month we share our books in class with each other once we have finished reading them.
Of course if we can’t find what we are looking for the friendly mobile library staff are always able to search on their computer for next time!
