We’re been doing lots of fun activities to celebrate Inclusion at Lusk Junior NS. We made beautiful paper chains which highlighted the uniqueness of every child in the school, and when joined together we create strength and beauty. This culminated in very special assemblies on Thursday and Friday this week...our first assemblies in the hall in two years! We appreciated our uniqueness and how special we are through singing one of our favourite songs ‘I’m a Miracle’. We dressed up in colourful clothes to represent our interests and our differences. We explored how individual needs can impact the life of a child. But no matter what our physical or neurological differences may be, we can all support each other when working and playing together.
Thank you to all those who donated generously to our two chosen charities: Join our Boys Trust (www. joinourboys.org) and Friends of Autism and ADHD (Skerries & Balbriggan) We are still counting the money received! Thank you to the student council and all the staff and pupils for making this celebration possible and so enjoyable for all.
