Room 15 - Brazil

Ms. Lynch's Second Class have been busy learning about Brazil.

We have learned lots of facts such as:

capital: Brasilia
languages: Portuguese (German, English, Spanish)
climate: tropical (Amazon Rainforest)
animals: jaguar, sloth, scarlet macaw
food: feijoada (Brazilian black bean and beef stew)
tourism: Rio de Janeiro (Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf)
celebrations: carnival (‘el carnaval’)
sport: soccer (Pele, Neymar)
artist: Romero Britto (pop art)
music: samba

We concluded our work on Brazil today with a Zoom workshop with a real (!) person from Brazil! Gilmar was happy to share his love for his country, culture and language with us and to answer our many questions! Obrigado Gilmar!
