Vision of Lusk JNS St MacCullin’s

Lusk Junior National School St MacCullin’s is a school where all children are welcome and supported via an approach that promotes overall well-being first and foremost. We take a child-centred approach in all that we do and appreciate that basic needs must be met in the first instance before meaningful development can occur.

We are a school that, rather than focusing on one specific area of interest for all as a stand-alone entity, focuses on anything that breeds a sense of safety, a sense belongingness and a sense of connectedness in children. We are a school for all; we are inclusive of all. We will not discriminate based on need but rather understand that we are enhanced as a result of the broad spectrum of strengths amongst the children in our care.

Diversity is key to the development of our school community, promoting positivity of wellbeing, mental health and a sense of community. All children are valued. No child will be forgotten.
